My first solo exhibition is two days away and I am already so overwhelmed and humbled by the support and love I have received. The photographs have all been hung up in the gallery as we get really close to the opening. It honestly feels like my diary exploded on the walls. :D
This show is also on my birthday. I am so happy it worked out like that, because I can not imagine a better way to spend a birthday. <3
I want to thank every single person who has been in front of my camera. This show would not be possible with out the willingness of others to be vulnerable with me. I know that it can be tough to trust someone to capture your likeness and I appreciate so many of you for that. I want to thank every person who is planning on coming, every one who is thinking about coming, everyone who wants to come but can’t, everyone who told someone about it, etc.
I want to thank Hubert Neal, Jr. for including me in his first group show a year ago, here in Bentonville, where I was able to show my work for the first time along with other local artists.
Now as my solo show is quickly creeping up, I am already thinking about the next one. I am already thinking about a theme and where I might have it. It has been a crazy decade since I purchased my first camera. I can not imagine doing anything else. Thank you again to every person who has supported me. You all mean so much. <3
