Uplifting Photos in the Wake of the Corona Virus, Day 21 | Jenn Terrell Photography

Uplift Blog Series: I wanted to help be a part of online positivity in the wake of the coronavirus and social distancing measures. I have had the honor of working with some amazing people who have such interesting and uplifting stories. ❤️I think now is the perfect time to share some of those. At first, I was going to put them all into one post but I think they are each so strong they deserve their own post and it will give me something to look forward to sharing with the world each day.

DAY 21

There is just something about New York City. It really is place unlike any other. There is just this energy there that is unmatched. It is also a very difficult place to live, but everyone there is just kind of in it together. When I take photos of people on the street all the time, in whatever city I am in, I ask for permission and often times people say no, which is totally fine. I get it! Not everyone wants their photo taken by a stranger to be plastered somewhere on the internet. haha But interestingly, in New York City, so many people said yes to letting me take their photo. They didn’t mind. This guy was one of the yeses. He stayed exactly where he was, unbothered, and let me click away. This was taken somewhere in Fort Greene, Brooklyn sometime last summer.
