53: Arkansas Food Photography | Arkansas Food Photographer

Uplift Blog Series: I wanted to help be a part of online positivity in the wake of the coronavirus and social distancing measures. I started doing daily blog posts on the second day of physical distancing. It has kept me consistent and helped me to share photos that I loved to take of some amazing people. This career has been an amazing ride so far! I am happy to share these photos along the way.

DAY 53

Food has been a big talking point since the pandemic began. Many people at home are baking, cooking and trying the newest coffee trend, Dalgona (whipped coffee). I am no exception to this. Since the pandemic began, I have made homemade flour tortillas, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookie dough, various forms of whipped coffee, avocado toast, poached eggs, and many other things that I can’t recall at the moment. So, I thought now would be a great time to share some of my favorite food photos that I have ever taken.

I used to work at Oven & Tap in downtown Bentonville. While I worked there as a server, I was also hired to take food photos periodically. I used my iPhone so I could take and edit the photos in one swoop at work and they could have the photos back within the hour. They only needed the photos for social media so it worked out great! Below are a fraction of the photos I took there. I am super impressed with how well the iPhone did for these. I never expected to be able to figure out how to take photos of this quality with any kind of phone.

I am grateful for Oven & Tap for asking me to take the photos. I am not sure I would have attempted it with out them asking. Now, I really enjoy photographing food and I have a rather large food portfolio after taking so many photos of their delicious food. :)
