Uplift Blog Series: I wanted to help be a part of online positivity in the wake of the coronavirus and social distancing measures. I have had the honor of working with some amazing people who have such interesting and uplifting stories. ❤️I think now is the perfect time to share some of those. At first, I was going to put them all into one post but I think they are each so strong they deserve their own post and it will give me something to look forward to sharing with the world each day.
Below is day 2. Kaia is a sweet kiddo that I used to take care of every once in a while. She used to borrow all of my hats so I ended up giving them to her because they looked so adorable on her (examples of this below). She is one of the smartest, brightest and sweetest little girls I have ever met. When scrolling through her photos and reading a short story about her I think you will get what I mean ❤ Every time I see a photo of her I smile. I hope you do too ❤
Day 2
The day this picture was taken Kaia was struggling to reach the handle on the part of the jungle gym pictured below. The other kids at the park that day were older and taller than her. They had no problem reaching the handle and she was mad that she needed me to lift her up to grab the handle. The other kids kept telling her she was too small. She kept jumping off the ledge next to it and reaching up into the air to try and grab it. She tried about five times and missed. Each time she missed she landed on the ground. I started to get worried that she might get hurt so I asked her to just let me lift her. She asked if she could try just one more time. I reluctantly agreed. She stopped, reared back and jumped super high, grabbed the handle and latched on. I had my camera ready just in case and I am so glad I did. After she got down we both screamed with excitement and hugged! It was the most beautiful and triumphant moment! Keep scrolling down to see more photos of this sweet girl over the years.
