43: Getting Motivated as an Artist | Jenn Terrell Photography

Every once in a while I will feel the need for something different. The need for something inspiring. I think most artists go through phases like this. This feeling is what sparks growth. It is yourself telling you, you need something different because you need to grow. You need to experiment. You need to try new things pertaining to your field. And Picasso himself said,” Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”

Day 40: In-Home couple photos in Bend, Oregon

I think now is a great time to share in-home sessions since we are all spending a lot more time in pajamas at home. This in-home session was from when I visited my brother and his sweet wife, Hannah, in Bend, Oregon. They were being super sweet after a day of being out of the house. I have photographed Jasmine numerous times at this point and it is always such a good time! Her bff, Jae, always tags along and those two together is always a hell of time! For the past two years I have photographed Jasmine for her birthday in-person in Arkansas. We used Onyx Coffee Lab in Bentonville, Arkansas as a location for the first one and a super cool brewery in downtown Rogers, Arkansas for the next one. This year an in-person shoot wasn’t a safe option and we were some states apart so she booked a virtual session. I will start with that one and then post the photos backwards in time.. :)

There was a section of the exhibition that featured photos of her from our greenhouse photoshoot. ❤️ This photo is of her dancing in front of her section. ❤️❤️❤️

This is my friend, John. He is another fixture of South Beach. Every time I see him when I am walking to get groceries, he always says “Oh hi, auntie! It is so good to see you, auntie,” with a big smile. During normal times, you can catch him sipping some Cuban coffee or walking around South Beach.
