I met up with Drew and Mary in Bentonville and we had a physically distant friend date. We got dinner to-go, sprayed sanitizer on some outdoor seating and chatted for an hour. It was so nice to meet up with them. ❤️I snapped a few photos of them in this alley before we ate our dinner.
Read MorePart one of Joshua and Caleb’s greenhouse engagement photos was at Matkins Flowers and Greenhouse in Bentonville, Arkansas. Part two of their engagement photos was featured yesterday for day 50 of uplifting blog posts during the pandemic. It was a cuddly, in-home session with their sweet pups. Part one was equally adorable! We met up at the greenhouse and worked our way through each area. Joshua and Caleb cracked jokes and had each other (and me) laughing throughout the photoshoot.

Caleb and Joshua are goofy, sweet and they love Beyonce! What more could you want from a couple? Plus, they had me crackin’ up the whole photoshoot! We started the photoshoot in the greenhouses at Matkins Flower & Greenhouse in Bentonville, Arkansas. Then part two of the shoot, featured in this post, was at their home in Northwest Arkansas with their two adorable pups.

At the beginning of the physical distancing measures, my boyfriend took a few portraits of me with my new red bodysuit that I ordered from Glam Expressway in DUMBO, Brooklyn. I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to wear it out with high-waisted jeans when it is safer to do so. The plaid skirt I am wearing in the photos is from Goodwill. I am a huge thrift shopper and I love finding vintage clothes on the cheap! I think I paid $4 for the skirt. Such a steal!
Read MoreNatasa has become such a close friend of mine in a really short time. We have chatted about how amazing women can be as forms of support for each other. She is the definition of this. We have had cocktails and great conversations on many occasions. This is one of the pre-pandemic things I miss the most. We have went on long walks up and down Miami Beach. And now we have done a few photo sessions together. When I first started considering doing virtual sessions I immediately messaged her and asked if she would test model for my first one. She knocked it out of the park! She had an amazing outfit and energy throughout the virtual facetime session. She even happened to have a rose handy as a prop. Check out that session here.
Read MoreBianca! This woman is going to be hella famous one day. I am absolutely sure of it! She has already done some big things too. She was featured in a Third Love commercial and she absolutely killed it singing and acting in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover. Her voice gives me the chills when she hits some of those notes. She is crazy talented and just a lovely person. We did this session back in early February and I was hyped up throughout the entire session. We were working together to create so awesome shots that just felt really natural. I can’t wait to see what she does when the world resumes. ❤️❤️❤️
Read MoreEvery once in a while I will feel the need for something different. The need for something inspiring. I think most artists go through phases like this. This feeling is what sparks growth. It is yourself telling you, you need something different because you need to grow. You need to experiment. You need to try new things pertaining to your field. And Picasso himself said,” Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”
Read MoreA few summers ago, I lived in Wahiawa, Hawaii for a few months. ❤️While I was there I did a photo-a-day photo challenge. Most of the photos below are from that challenge plus a couple extras just for fun. 😃

Read MoreI think now is a great time to share in-home sessions since we are all spending a lot more time in pajamas at home. This in-home session was from when I visited my brother and his sweet wife, Hannah, in Bend, Oregon. They were being super sweet after a day of being out of the house. So I grabbed my camera and got these. ❤️

Read MoreI love swapping stories with others about how they got their start in whatever they are passionate about. I remember when I was 15 or 16, I borrowed my sister’s point and shoot digital camera. My best friend and I got dressed up and I took pictures of her individually and us together. We had such a good time and felt so confident. I have no idea where those photos are now but that was so much fun. ❤️Then when I was 19 I bought a film camera from goodwill. I bought some film and my friend show me how to load it. I started photographing everything.
Read MoreToday I am sharing some of my favorite bridal portraits. ❤️ These were taken at The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa in Eureka Springs, Arkansas last October. Kim was such an amazing bride! I loved every detail her and Adam curated for their wedding. It was such a beautiful day! The Crescent hotel has a gorgeous, moody, romantic, and emotional feel to it. I loved using various areas of the property to take photos. Kim’s dress and flowers were absolutely gorgeous!

Read MoreToday I am sharing a couple of portraits of my mom. The idea for to take these portraits came after I had a dream about photographing my dad who passed when I was 12. I didn’t get a camera until I was about 15 so I never took any proper photos of him when he was alive. In my dream everything felt so real. He was right there and I was finally given the chance the photograph him. I was nervous and I was asking him to stay still as I adjusted my lens. I remember thinking, in my dream, about which lens would be the best and how important these photos would be.
Read MoreI have photographed Jasmine numerous times at this point and it is always such a good time! Her bff, Jae, always tags along and those two together is always a hell of time! For the past two years I have photographed Jasmine for her birthday in-person in Arkansas. We used Onyx Coffee Lab in Bentonville, Arkansas as a location for the first one and a super cool brewery in downtown Rogers, Arkansas for the next one. This year an in-person shoot wasn’t a safe option and we were some states apart so she booked a virtual session. I will start with that one and then post the photos backwards in time.. :)
Read MoreY’all! It has been 30 flippin’ days since I first started physical distancing. I never would have imagined that this series would have lasted this long. I thought since we are 30 days in why not give you some real gems: photos of me as a kid. :D I obviously did not take any of these but here they are now existing on the internet. :D :D :D
Read MoreToday’s post features another South Beach fixture. The first time I went to South Beach I saw him selling magnets and I thought he was just so interesting so I asked to take his photo. It was dark outside but the lights on Ocean Drive were perfect for this shot. Then when I moved to South Beach a few months sort of a year later, I looked for him every time I walked down Ocean Drive but I didn’t see him until around December. The first photo below is the one I took on my first trip to South Beach. The following photos are photos I took when I finally caught up with him again a year later and he was just as interesting! I love his style!
Read MoreThis couple in particular is extra special to me. This is my brother and sister-in-law. They are the goofiest, kindest and most loving people. I visited them in Oregon a couple of winters ago and I had so much fun! They come to Arkansas from time-to-time to and it is always so great to see them. 💕I was stoked when they wanted to set up a session! Hannah showed me one of the major benefits of super long hair: the perfect split mustache (see below). 😎 I can’t wait until this pandemic is over and I can go get some tacos with them in Oregon. 💕
Here are a few from their virtual session on Friday.
