45: A Creative Session with Bianca, Lioness of South Beach | Miami Beach, Florida

Bianca! This woman is going to be hella famous one day. I am absolutely sure of it! She has already done some big things too. She was featured in a Third Love commercial and she absolutely killed it singing and acting in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover. Her voice gives me the chills when she hits some of those notes. She is crazy talented and just a lovely person. We did this session back in early February and I was hyped up throughout the entire session. We were working together to create so awesome shots that just felt really natural. I can’t wait to see what she does when the world resumes. ❤️❤️❤️

Today’s post features one of my favorite artists of all time- Hubert Neal, Jr. ❤️When I first met Hubert years ago, we had both just moved to Bentonville, him from Miami Beach and me from Hawaii. He had opened an art studio next to my apartment complex. My landlord told me I had to meet him since I was a photographer. I met Hubert, showed him some of my photographs, and he put me into the group show he had coming up at his gallery. Honestly, it was the first time anyone had ever considered me for a gallery exhibition.

He is a well-known manager and server there not to mention he is a favorite among customers. Now in his spare time he has added talented bread baker to the list. I had a dream a few months ago that I was taking photographs of my father. My father passed when I was 12, long before I had my very first camera. In my dream I couldn't believe I had never thought to take photos of him before. I remember the lens I wanted to use in my dream. I carefully attached it to my camera and led him to his favorite spot on the couch by the huge window I used to look out of when I was very impatiently awaiting the arrival of my mom on her way home from work.
