Uplift Blog Series, Day 3: I wanted to help be a part of online positivity in the wake of the coronavirus and social distancing measures. I have had the honor of working with some amazing people who have such interesting and uplifting stories. ❤️I think now is the perfect time to share some of those. At first, I was going to put them all into one post but I think they are each so strong they deserve their own post and it will give me something to look forward to sharing with the world each day.

Read MoreLet’s address the huge dang elephant in the room: the corona virus. It has turned into a full blown pandemic. It came out of no where and now so many lives and plans are changing. While we don’t know much now about the impact it will have, there are options to help you prepare for your wedding day.
Read MoreI have zillions of old files on a number of hard drives dating back to circa 2009 when I got my first DSLR camera. I was shooting film before that. I used to photograph every. living. thing. haha My camera stayed in my purse and I photographed anything new or remotely interesting.
I wanted to finally put those files to some use and to look back and see the things I thought would make an interesting photo back when I had my little t2i canon rebel. I used that camera for seven years until the parts starting falling off of it. So I have decided to start posting roughly once a week here on my blog. I will re-edit or edit ( some of them were never edited and never saw the internet) in my current editing style that I have nailed down after many years. So this marks my very first throwback Thursday on the blog 😎
Read MoreDown deep in my heart I am a journalist. Photo sessions like these, that are documentary in nature, make me so happy 🙌🏼 I am so grateful that this family hired to me to come along on their Miami boating trip and document it. They traveled all the way from Canada to Miami, Florida for a bucket list vacation. We got a fabulous tour of star island and I am pretttty sure we saw JLo outside Alex Rodriguez’s mansion hanging out at the pool! I had such a lovely time and I can’t wait for the next session like this with such great people ❤️

Read MoreLet’s be real; for most of us having our photo taken can be a little intimidating. I totally get that because I feel it too. As soon as the camera is pointed in my direction I clam up and think “Oh my gosh, what do I do with my hands???” and I am a dang professional! This is where the photographer’s skill comes in. My main job is actually to make you feel comfortable and I love doing that.
Once you arrive at your session I will take care of everything there but there are a few things, listed below, you can do and keep in mind while preparing for your session.
Read MoreMorgan hired me to take some new head shots for her yeeeeeears ago. I am so grateful for all of the photographs we have created together since then! 🙌 From maternity photos, birth photos, engagement photos, and family photos to this sweet, sweet wedding. John and Morgan were so emotional when they spoke of their love for each other. T Their first look is such a sweet and emotional one. Read MoreKim and Adam had an amazing "“Up” themed wedding at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs this past summer. Remember the movie “Up”? The one with the 3D computer-animated comedy-drama that made everyone cry. This wedding had elements of that movie and it was so stinkin’ adorable 🎈🎈 Check it out below ♥
Read MoreI labeled the photograph “How I felt today 7.19.2019” when I saved it on my computer. Months earlier I had moved to New York and things were not good. I experienced the deepest, darkest depression I had ever known. I am typically such a happy and optimistic person so this was very odd for me.

Read MoreI worked with Denise years back and she is one of those people who is always kind and brings positive energy into any room. Her heart shines through in the photos and Geo’s heart matches hers. 💖
At the end of the session, Denise and Geo were discussing their recent wedding anniversary. Then Denise said, “And when we are 80 we will be hiring you to take our photos then too.”
That comment made my week 😭

Just wait until you see Leah’s first look with her dad a little way through this post 🥰 It is the sweetest thing! Read MoreJack, the adorable toddler in the red shirt below, had his 6th birthday yesterday 🙌💖 His birthday party falls on my birthday this year so I thought I would post a blog about his family session today. 😊 I wish the entire family could all come to Miami Beach so we could celebrate together but this year I will have to settle for facetime as they all live a few states away.

Read MoreI felt the urge to bake something a few nights ago after watching several Halloween baking competitions on TV. 😆 I wanted to make something that would also photograph well. I recently moved to Miami Beach, Florida and my kitchen is not complete with baking supplies yet so I also had to make something that didn’t require a mixer. I searched the internet for several recipes and I came across this Blackberry Cheesecake that I knew would look amazing and probably taste pretty good too. 😉
